Bio

Inspired by mid century design and modern aesthetics, our pieces have a subtle, classic contemporary feel. Carefully considered and made to last.

Clean, simple lines and shapes paired with traditional joinery means everything we produce will grow as you do in the space/s you choose to occupy. We provide a core range of carefully considered pieces, from smaller hand turned homewares to larger staple items, alongside commissionable and bespoke pieces all handmade in our East Kent workshop. At every stage of production and for creative decision made, we make sure that function and aesthetic are at the forefront.

Bloc & Boon was founded by Harry Tompkins and Lu Hale – both with Fine Art backgrounds and a wealth of experience in the carpentry and creative industries, we are happiest when getting our hands on materials and getting stuck in. We are based in Margate, with every piece crafted at our workshop in the hamlet of Martin.

Bloc & Boon is a place for love of handcrafted goodness and high quality pieces for the home. After all, it’s one of the most important spaces in life.
