Made in glorious Devon ash, from trees felled near Axminster, this was commissioned to form the centrepiece of the Quaker Meeting House in Plymouth, but could equally serve as an occasional table, or, in a slightly larger size, as a dining table. A disk of Devon slate let into the centre serves as a coaster for flower vases or serving dishes.
