About product

I never use newly-sourced tropical timbers, but I'm always pleased to run across a supply of reclaimed boards because I love the working qualities of species such as teak and mahogany. The year-round growing season in the tropics means they are less various in their grain and figure, but I sometimes like this in contrast with temperate species, and the resilience outdoors of a species such as iroko is a wonderful bonus.

I have a good stock of iroko reclaimed from a pews church in Stoke Poges, and the four sliding doors you can see in the images were made entirely from this timber. We fitted maple faced plywood drawers in each of the alcoves either side of the chimney breast, with rails and a shelf above.
