Following a previous career in archaeology, and years cutting my woodworking teeth with some of the country’s best makers, we (that is, me, Oliver Boles) set up Tale Wood at our farmyard workshop in east Devon.
Whether bespoke or batch, fitted or freestanding, we use native hardwoods from our own carefully managed woodland – milled at the local sawmill and seasoned on the farm – to make furniture of unimpeachable provenance, considered design, and lasting quality.
